The Lightweight Moisturizer That Works Like an Overnight Mask

I am terrible at having a morning skincare routine. I don’t like washing my face in the sink, and I don’t shower in the morning, so I “wash” my face by swiping on some Bioderma and calling it done. I also have so many tricks to remember to put on sunscreen, and the only one that’s really worked is just having sunscreen everywhere. There’s one in the bathroom, there’s one at the desk where I put my makeup on, there’s one by the front door. Oftentimes I don’t wear makeup when I know I’m just going to be at home most of the day, and it never occurs to me to use that time to just wear a nice thick layer of moisturizer and pamper my skin.

That is, until I got Soap & Glory Speed Plump All-Day Super Moisture. This moisturizer is more than just a daily facial moisturizer - it has all the power of a heavy-duty, overnight moisturizer, but is light enough to wear during the day (even under makeup). This moisturizer comes in a tube, which makes it super easy to apply. There’s no pump, or tub, or other contraption that makes moisturizer get messy and, for me, makes it easy to skip over in my routine.

While I tend to apply this moisturizer on days when I’m planning to just be at home, on my laptop all day, I have worn it under makeup and it works great. I don’t know how they manage to make a lightweight, fast-absorbing moisturizer feel as nourishing as an overnight mask, but I’m happy to have it in my life. Also, there is a scent to this product, but like all other Soap and Glory products I’ve tried, I find the scent absolutely lovely.

One caveat is that this moisturizer doesn’t contain sunscreen, and while i’m on the lookout for a super-duper moisturizer that does contain sunscreen, Speed Plump is a great moisturizer for days when you’re living your indoor life. Bonus: If you shop at Target and use Cartwheel (if not, you should) Soap and Glory is often 20-25% off.
