Wear, Watch, Want #87: The Hot Sneaky Dolly Edition

This week I slammed my thumb in a car door. I had no idea hurting the tip of your thumb could be so debilitating. I already have issues with my hands from inflammatory arthritis, and now this. The point is, this is going to be short and sweet today.

Wear: Teva Sneakers

I bought these sneakers on a whim at Nordstrom Rack, because I needed a shoe that was easy on and off for going to barre class. Cut to me wearing these shoes all the time. They’re not available at Nordstrom Rack anymore, but I found them at Sierra Trading Post and got a second pair for when I destroy the ones I already have. They’re $30, incredibly comfortable, and super easy to slip on and off.

Watch: Dumplin’

I love this book. I once sat with a man in his 40s at the dog park and told him the entire plot of Dumplin’ and why he had to read it. I must have talked for easily 30-45 minutes. The movie adaptation is pretty good, although if you like the movie and wish some things were more fleshed out and complex, get the book. The author, Julie Murphy, is a GREAT social media follow so I suggest you follow her on every platform immediately.

Want: Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer

My hairdryer broke on me last week. Now that I work out and get super sweaty three times a week, I’m washing (and drying) my hair pretty often. I NEED my hairdryer. I thought, “Oh, maybe there’s a deal or a sale on the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer I can find” but of course there wasn’t. (Also, it’s like 4 times what I would feel comfortable paying for an expensive hair dryer, and I don’t think it will ever be 75% off.) I got one at Costco that’s great and fancy and lightweight enough that it doesn’t aggravate my joint issues, but I still dream of a life filled with Dyson everything.
