Wear, Watch, Want #90: The Plaid Pillow Police Edition

Wear: Free Press Plaid Flannel Nightshirt

I bought one of these sleep shirts from Nordstrom Rack at least a year ago. It immediately became my favorite thing to wear to bed in winter (in warmer months I wear one of these nightgowns). When I bought my first nightshirt, I found it in a Nordstrom Rack store, and it was the only one on the rack. I don’t know why I never looked for it online, but I didn’t, until this week. Not only are there a TON of different colors of this cozy, soft, perfect top, but they are on clearance! I bought two.

Watch: Brooklyn 99

Years ago, when Brooklyn 99 was being shopped to networks, NBC rejected it and Fox picked it up. Then, at the end of the fifth season when Fox cancelled Brooklyn 99, not 24 hours passed before NBC picked it up. Why NBC couldn’t have done that with Pitch I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND but at least I can still watch Brooklyn 99.

During the winter TV hiatus, when I was desperate for TV to watch, I started Brooklyn 99 from the beginning. Fans of the show commend it for being diverse, and giving us smooshy feelings, but what stood out to me even more blatantly was the fat phobia in earlier seasons. It’s enough to make you want to scream at all the Brooklyn 99 fans that they are WRONG and putting in actor in a fat suit for laughs is ALWAYS BAD. But here’s what I noticed as I kept rewatching - the fat jokes became more and more infrequent. The Brooklyn 99 writers evolved! And THAT’S why Brooklyn 99 should be lauded as a good show. Now, I better not see any fat jokes in upcoming episodes - not just because that would be super shitty, but also because I would hate to have been proven wrong.

Want: Throw Pillows

I have bought three different throw pillow for my couch, and nothing has been right. Why is it so hard to find a PILLOW to put on my COUCH? One was too light and grey, the next was darker but still too grey, so then I got these blue ones from Target and maybe it’s because I’ve been burned before, but they just don’t seem right. I would love someone to just show me the right pillows and have them work immediately and perfectly. I want to nap on my couch with a perfectly coordinated pillow and I don’t think that’s too much to ask!
