The Luxury of a Face Mask With the Convenience of a Push Pop

My hair washing schedule and workout schedule are just about inextricably linked. I work out Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, come home super sweaty, and take a shower and wash my hair. I have forced myself to go exercise when I didn’t really want to, because I knew if I skipped it, my hair wash schedule would be all out of whack. I also use the time post-workout, but pre-shower, to slap on a face mask. Again, I have a system: I do a wash-off face mask before I wash my hair, because then I can wash it off by just sticking my face in the shower stream and won’t have to worry about getting my hair wet when I don’t want to. What can I say, I love being organized and I love to have a plan.

Sometimes I come home exhausted and sweaty and I don’t want to go through to rigamarole of applying a face mask. But I still WANT to have done it. This is where my BFF Milk Makeup comes in. They have face masks that come in easy to apply sticks, and it makes the whole thing SO SIMPLE.

Just swipe the stick all over your face - no washing residual mask off your hands, no washing a silicone mask applicator you got to spare your hands, but it just created a different kind of issue, just swipe, wait a bit, and wash off.

A photo of me, post-workout, masking away. So brave.

The only downside is that you can’t apply this as thickly as you might normally do your face masks, but I think that’s probably a benefit and is saving me from myself. I use the Matcha Detoxifying Face Mask, because post-workout I’m looking to detox my sweaty skin, but I’m eager to try their other green stick mask, the Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Hydrating Face Mask.
