Travel Often? Wear Makeup? This Tiny Mirror Makes a Big Difference

Since I first used my Simplehuman mirror I knew I was forever spoiled, and no other mirror would suffice. I really wanted to get the 4 inch Sensor Mirror Compact, but while I had managed to justify getting the $200 8-inch Sensor Mirror (I did not pay $200), I wasn’t sure I could do it again for a $100 mirror I would only use when traveling.

But then my BFF Costco came to the rescue. When I bought my first Simplehuman mirror it wasn’t for sale at Costco, but it is now and if you’re in the market you should absolutely buy it there. The thing about a lot of Costco deals is that at first glance, it may seem like a minor savings, but then you realize that you’re actually getting MORE for LESS, and it’s a no-brainer - it’s a killer deal. The 4-inch Sensor Mirror Compact retails for $100, but at Costco it’s $80. $20 off is a good deal, but wait, there’s more! The Costco mirror comes with the Compact Snap Case, which itself is $20*. So instead of 20% off, you’re looking at over 30% off.. And it’s Costco, so say you don’t love it (you will), returns are super easy.

*Some retailers include this case with the mirror, and some don't say. I have only bought from Costco, and despite my research I cannot tell if this case is just standard or if it’s an extra. BUT either way it’s still a bargain.

Now for the actual mirror. It’s small, but mighty. You can easily hold it in the palm of your hand, and it has a fold-out ring on the back that you can either use to stand it up, or to securely hold it in your hand. It has that amazing Simplehuman tru-lux lighting, which imitates natural light and helps you make sure you don’t head out with garishly applied blush.

Over Christmas I went to California to visit my grandma, who famously (in my family at least) has the worst bathroom lighting I have ever experienced. You know how some gas station and public park bathrooms don’t have real mirrors? And they’re like, half outdoors? It would be easier to apply makeup in one of those than my grandma’s bathroom. That being said, acquiring this little mirror was an act of desperation. This little wonder got its inaugural trip a few weeks ago and it was an enormous success. If you frequent a house with Horrible Bathroom Lighting, or just don’t like the unpredictability of various hotel vanity set-ups, the Simplehuman 4-inch Sensor Mirror Compact is here to save the day.
