Wear, Watch, Want #167: The Plaid 60s Jogger Edition

Wear: JoyLab Joggers

My typical routine is to work out before lunchtime, then shower and get right into my pajamas. i’m not going anywhere, so why wear a transitional outfit between my post-workout shower and Jimjam Time? BUT, sometimes I want to run a quick errand or otherwise leave the house, and I 1) don’t want to be seen in my PJs and 2) don’t want to let my at-home clothes be exposed to the grime of the outside world. The solution is joggers. I have tried so many pairs, none of which were right, until I tried these joggers from Target. They’re the perfect weight for cooler weather, they aren’t too tight in the butt but still fit my waist, and they’re only $35. I’d get more than the one gray pair I have, but the colors on offer are… not great. Target, hear my plea: I would buy these in black, a rich oxblood, maybe a peacock blue… you could easily get $100 out of me from buying these pants alone!

Watch: The Queen’s Gambit

I am a sucker for any lady-centric period piece, so my rave review of The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix isn’t coming from a super picky viewer. But it IS very good, and if you too have a Netflix homepage filled with “X Genre Featuring a Strong Female Lead” you’ve probably already checked this show out. The costumes alone are worth watching for. This week my goal was Maximum Distraction, and thank goodness I have this high quality prestige limited series to help me with that.

Want: Grayson Liquid Flannel Shirt

I have two Grayson The Hero shirts, both bought on sale, and they really do live up to the hype. When I got an email that announced they were making “liquid flannel” shirts, I was immediately intrigued. Who doesn’t love a flannel shirt? And in that super flattering Grayson cut? And in a soft, flowy, yet still cozy fabric? I must have one. It’s a little steep for me, but maybe Black Friday sales will be enough for my to rationalize a purchase.
