The Brow Gel That Tames, Sculpts, and Holds Without a Trace

I’ve mentioned this about one million times and I’ll say it one million more: I love eyebrow products. A pencil, a gel, a tint, a brush - I’m in on all of it. Now that I’ve become a makeup minimalist, I love zuzhing up my brows even more, because sometimes that’s all the makeup I’m applying.

That’s why, when I read about Refy, a new line of just brow products (they’ve since added others) I knew I had to check it out. It’s a three step system, which you can buy in light, medium, or dark, but you can also buy each step separately. I got step 1, the Brow Sculpt, and it is my new favorite way to shape my brows.

The product and the packaging are super minimalistic, so it just looks like a tube of glue with a spoolie brush. And, I mean, when you think about it, what it is The gel is white in the tube, but dries clear, and I mean really clear. Before Refy Brow Sculpt, my favorite way to hold my brows in place was Fenty Beauty’s Brow MVP Sculpting Wax Pencil & Styler, but it sometimes would leave little white flakes on my brows. I will admit, I don’t know if this is from the actual product or the product combining with my sunscreen or moisturizer or WHAT, but I occasionally got little flakies with Fenty and I never have with Refy. (The flakes were easily brushed away and didn’t return, but you know, a minor hassle is still a hassle.)

Brow Sculpt is buildable too, so you can add product depending on how much sculpt and hold you need. I usually brush my brows upward with an eyebrow brush from Sephora that is no longer sold but is basically a chic toothbrush (I bet this would work just as well), then I apply a swipe or two of the Brow Sculpt, brush again with my glorified toothbrush (I don’t want to add product, I just want to shape), and if I feel like it, fill in with my Holy Grail brow pencil, Covergirl Easy Breezy Brow Micro-Fine+Define Brow Pencil (reviewed here).

I will say you have to pay $10 for shipping to the US, so it ends up being more expensive that other similar products, BUT, it was on my doorstep, from England, in three days. You really do get your $10 worth. Plus, it’s a good product! It truly dries clear, and the results are long lasting, natural-but-enhanced, and help take my minimal makeup to the next level.
