Black Friday (And Cyber Monday) Deals are On The Way -- Here's My Plan

In my house, we call Black Friday amatuer day. It’s so easy to get distracted by a good deal and end up going nuts, and all of a sudden you own two drones or something. BUT, if you are a smart shopper, Black Friday (and Cyber Monday) are the perfect times to get things you want and need, but at a steep discount, often the biggest of the year. I am one of these obsessive shoppers, and I have had my Black Friday plan set for months. Here’s what I’m getting.

My second favorite tiny expensive thing, after my dog

ZIIP

I wrote a two-parter (here and here) about how much I love my ZIIP, and while I listed all the reasons I love it and why I will never be without it again, I probably spent just as much time reiterating that you should NOT pay full price. FOR ANYTHING. Honestly, if I found out you read my posts and paid full price for your ZIIP, I would be personally offended. My mom is going to buy a ZIIP, and she told me in like, April that she was getting it in the Black Friday sale, which is usually 30% off of everything on ZIIP’s website. I’m planning to buy 3 or 4 bottles of gel, and then be set for the upcoming year, until I need more gel and it’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday again.

This room looks a little different now, but the rug is the same!

Ruggable

I bought my first Ruggable rug in 2018 (and wrote about it here), and back then they had maybe 20 rugs to choose from. I’ve since bought two more Ruggables and it was a challenge to choose from the myriad rugs they offer. ALSO, now they have cushioned rug pads, which didn’t exist when I bought my big living room rug. Now I have cushioned pads on two rugs, and the difference is noticeable. Also, I didn’t know you shouldn’t dry your Ruggable after washing, so the pad sticks out under the rug cover in a few places. The point is, I’m planning on repurchasing my same living room rug, but with a cushioned rug pad, and I will NOT be putting it in the dryer. Last year Ruggable’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale offered 15% off, which isn’t huge, but it’s something, especially when you’re planning on getting an 8’x10’ with an upcharged rug pad.

The majority of this stuff is from Target AND was bought during the 25% off sale

Target

Target offers 25% off health and beauty items a few times a year, and each time I STOCK UP. Yes, things like makeup and skincare are on sale, but the sale also includes, like, mouthwash. I use this sale to stock up on dry shampoo (I wrote about my two faves here and here), lip balm (the best one, imo), shampoo (love this for getting all that dry shampoo out), and even hand soap (this one is my favorite).
