Dry Shampoo Leaves My Ends Too Dry, This Hair Oil Is the Perfect Antidote

One of the pitfalls of being a dry shampoo devotee is that the ends of my hair can get a little… puffy. I guess they’re dry, but the main effect that bothers me is the puff. Imagine if Grace Coddington wasn’t a problematic fashion icon and was just some lady — that’s me after four days of dry shampoo.

If you think the solution to this dilemma is to wash my hair more often and/or use less dry shampoo, you’re wrong. The solution, clearly, is to buy a hair oil. I did a little shopping around and decided on Ouai Hair Oil, waited for the Sephora sale, then bought a bottle. It’s exactly what i was looking for.

I use just two pumps and only apply to the ends of my hair, and it calms down the frizzy puffs without making my hair look greasy or stringy. I just makes the hair at the root and the hair at the end look like they’re family instead of feuding enemies.

Apparently some people hate the smell of this oil, but I find it intoxicating. I love it so much I’ve considered buying the perfume! Different people like different things, but I was baffled to learn that some think this scent is overpowering and gross. Maybe they got a spoiled bottle? Maybe they’re using too much? My point is, if you can, try and smell this oil in person before you go buying a whole bottle.

Using just two pumps of Ouai Hair Oil at a time, I can see this bottle lasting me a long, long time, so the price point is fine with me. I also tried numerous cheaper options before getting this one, and it is, for me, absolutely worth it. Plus, it looks so chic! A+ product, A+ packaging, Ouai Hair Oil has masterfully supported my my 1-2 times a week wash routine.
