This May Very Well Be THE Perfect Lip Tint

I’ve long been a fan of lip tints, and for just as long I’ve felt they could be better. The trick, I’ve found, is to leave the US. Korean brands are the only ones that have ever made lip tints that (I think) are worth buying. My most recent favorite is using my Tonymoly Get It Tint Water Bar in an off-label way to get a reddish tint to my lips that will last virtually forever (ie, all day). But I have long wanted a version of this same trick, that offers the same results, but in a pink, rosy, MLBB kind of hue. This is how I found Peripera Lip Tints.

Peripera’s lip products are extremely popular, and for good reason. I bought and returned a few before I ended up with these three, from two different tint lines. In the photo above, from left to right, Ink Airy Velvet in 14 Rosy Pink, Ink Tint Serum in 02 Rosy Around, and Ink Airy Velvet in 13 Rich Berry. You can buy any of these, plus the OG Ink The Velvet, from Amazon, YesStyle, and Stylevana, among others. But the particular shade might not be available, so be prepared to shop around and/or wait for your dream color to be back in stock.

I did try ink The Velvet in 02 Celeb Deep Rose, and I don’t know if it was more the formula or the color, but I didn’t like ANY of it. Airy Velvet was MUCH more to my liking. The main difference between Airy Velvet and Tint Serum is the consistency. Tint Serum is glossier and a bit wetter upon application. Airy Velvet is matte and, at least for me, takes a little more precision in application. But both work the same way: You apply the tint, careful to stay in the lines and not to get too overconfident in your hand-steadiness, wait while you do your hair, the rest of your makeup, or just watch TIkToks, then wipe off the product.

You’re left with a lip stain that will last through almost anything. I put a little gloss over it, and reapply throughout the day, and my tint still goes strong until I scrub it off with an oil-based cleanser before bed. I plan on using one of these tints just about every time I wear makeup - it provides just enough color, and can withstand anything your day throws at you.
