Wear, Watch, Want #232: The Short Custom Adaptation Edition

Wear: Lululemon Pace Breaker 5” Shorts

Who would have thought that the very best shorts for me would be found on the Lululemon mens’ sale rack?? I wrote about Pace Breaker Linerless 5” shorts before, but now I’ve actually worn them AND found a second pair on the sale rack, I’m really obsessed. I have black and a purple pattern (that I can’t find online), and I’d love the heathered navy color, but I don’t know if I can pay full price now that I’ve found TWO pairs on the sale rack. The Pace Breaker shorts are the perfect length for me, they don’t ride up, they have one million pockets, and they’re just as comfortable to wear on the couch as they are to take a hike.

Watch: Fire Island

Pride and Prejudice is one of, if not THE, greatest stories ever. So, if you make anything inspired by/adapted from P&P, you’ve already got something great. Fire Island is a retelling of Pride and Prejudice, so it’s great, but its also smart and funny and absolutely gorgeous to watch, so it’s extra great. If you’re familiar with the source material, it’s easy to decipher each character and storyline (the way I shrieked, “BOWEN is JANE???!!”), which also means it’s easy to spot how everything has been adapted, and how smartly it’s been done. I will absolutely rewatch Fire Island, which is high praise for a movie that was dropped straight onto a streaming service (Fire Island should have gotten a limited theatrical release!!).

Also, I know you love to watch Austen adaptations with your mom but be forewarned this is a movie about a gay island paradise and you see a lot of butts. Enjoy!

Want: Custom Dog Tee

I don’t remember how I found Harpermade, but I do know that I need one of their long sleeve tees with hand drawn pictures of my dogs on it.
