The Cult Fave Bio Ionic Curling Iron is Worth Paying Full Price… But You Can Get It For 45% Off

I was a hot roller girlie for the better part of a decade, but TikTok convinced me I needed to switch to a curling iron. I bought this incredibly popular, cheap one from Amazon. It was awful. I would constantly switch it off just by holding it, so it went back. I knew the curling iron was the Bio Ionic, but I don’t have the curling habits to justify a $150 curling iron, so I bought the cheap Bio Ionic knockoff on Amazon. It came used, which, let’s be real, I’ve 100% gotten used and returned stuff before, but at least try and hide it from me. The box looked like it had been to war, and there was a scratch on the barrel. At this point, I didn’t even want to try and order another one, I wanted to give up. But I gave it one more Google and found a brand new Bio Ionic Long Barrel Curling Iron for $80.

If you asked me if Woot.com still existed in 2023, I don’t know what I’d tell you. Yes? Yes but it’s a graveyard of a site and is practically unusable? BUT! Woot.com not only continues to exist, they’re selling brand new, in box, fresh from the iron mill Bio Ionic curling irons for $80. Based on a quick Goog, the lowest price a Bio Ionic has ever been is Black Friday, on Amazon, for $84. And those sell out FAST. I just checked and you can STILL get either a 1” or 1.25” extra long barrel Bio Ionic curling iron on Woot, and I got mine weeks ago.

I would absolutely not pay $150 for a curling iron I use maybe once or twice a week. But I would pay $80 for one after I’d tried and returned multiple alternatives, and that’s what I did. I will say, however, this curling iron is absolutely worth $150.

The handle is soft and comfortable to hold, and there’s a big, foolproof cool-touch tip so you won’t burn yourself (unless you really try). My favorite feature is the button lock, where pressing the power button twice will lock the buttons unless you double tap or long hold the power button. Considering my first curling iron couldn’t last 30 seconds without me accidentally turning it off, this is a huge blessing for me. The iron also heats up FAST. I timed it, and it took 74 seconds to go from stone cold to 390°.

I got a 1.25” because I have long hair and I’m looking for a loose wave and added body. I’ve found that I prefer to hold the iron vertically while I curl, and my hair is short enough (and this barrel long enough) that I can curl a whole strand at once, which makes curling my hair even easier.

If you think this looks good, imagine if I put on makeup and changed out of my sweats

The Bio Ionic curling iron is everything the rave reviews promise, and like I said, I think it’s worth $150. BUT, why spend that when you can get a Bio Ionic Long Barrel Curling Iron for 45% off??
