Wear, Watch, Want #272: The Platform Magnet Saga Edition

Wear: Crocs Crush Sandal

I’ve been walking my foster dog at least once a day, every day, and I’ve been wearing these Crocs sandals. They are super comfy, give me a little lift so I don’t come home with muddy feet (I hate dirty feet), and surprisingly give me a great calf workout. Like, I can FEEL my calves becoming more shapely on these walks.

Watch: The Twilight Saga

Last year, I dog sat (for one of my former foster dogs, aka ex-roommate) for over two weeks, in a wonderful house in the middle of the woods, and for most of it we were snowed in. The house is big and comfortable and gorgeous, but I felt very… alone. Every day I’d put movies on, all day, just so I had something going on in the background. I had every movie channel at my fingertips, but 1) I didn’t want to watch just any old thing, and 2) When you’re watching movies all day, every day, you find that these channels are all just repeating like, 10 movies over and over. I watched the same movies SO MANY TIMES, but I watched the entire Twilight Saga the most — easily 10 times. It was ALWAYS on, I was literally IN a forest in the Pacific Northwest, and somehow the Twilight Saga became my comfort movies??? A friend and I made a trip to Forks, WA recently, and we just finished watching all the Twilight movies, and once the interminably long Breaking Dawn Part 2 credits rolled, I was like, “Okay, time to watch them again” because that is just how my brain thinks this works now! Anyway, I’m going back to dog sit in the fall and I’m kind of hoping I can just watch Twilight all the time?? It just feels right.

Anyway, I now have VERY strong opinions on all aspects of the Twilight Saga, including a ranking of the films, which I can explain thoroughly, for hours, but I’ll spare you:

  1. New Moon

  2. Breaking Dawn Part 1

  3. Twilight

  4. Breaking Dawn Part 2

  5. Take some space for quiet reflection

  6. Maybe get a snack

  7. Eclipse

Want: Foodie Magnets

This week I reorganized my pantry, and one of the things I did was make it so I can SEE everything. I need to see it or I forget it exists, thanks ADHD! My fridge isn’t even that full, but I have no idea what’s in it. I can open the doors and stare at it, and I have no understanding of what I’m looking at. This either makes sense to you or it doesn’t, but if it does, please let me show you what I think will change our LIVES:

I’m convinced this will solve all my problems AND prevent me from tossing deeply expired yogurt I forgot existed (it’s always yogurt… and cucumbers). I think I might buy a la carte magnets, because there are a few things in the sets I never buy. Sensible! ALSO they’re coming out with a series 2 and now I want those and they don’t even exist yet.
