Buxom Sculpted Lash Mascara

A few weeks ago I walked into my Sephora looking to but a new tube of my favorite Buxom Lash Mascara and discovered there was a new Buxom product on the market. Their new mascara boasts an "S" shaped brush that claims to give your lashes superior volume and length. When it comes to mascara, I like to look as dragulous as possible without resorting to using falsies, so naturally I was intrigued. I loved the hourglass shape of the original Buxom mascara brush, so this new shape must be even better.

And I love it. I must tell you though, it helps to read the directions. If you just jump in and try to use this mascara willy-nilly all over your lashes, you're going to be a mess. The trick is to slowly turn the brush while you coat your lashes, then go in and get the little corners and pump up any sparse areas. If you do this correctly, you'll end up with some VAVOOM lashes. The forumla is thick, so you don't need a lot, but if you WANT a lot, that's totally doable too. There's definite buildability to this mascara.

My personal favorite thing about the "S" brush is how it makes getting in the corners of your eyes super easy. With a straight brush you'd go in to get the little lashes at the ends of your lids and while you were mascara-ing them, you'd sometimes get a smudge of mascara on your skin from the extra bristles sticking out. With this brush you just turn it so that it goes in toward your lashes and out near your skin and all is good in the world.

I'm a sucker for good packaging, and this mascara totally sexes up my makeup bag. It gives me the dark, full lashes I crave so I can serve up some drag queen realness every day of the week. Buxom, you've done it again.
