CLEAN Skin Eau de Parfum
I wrote awhile ago about how I've worn the same fragrance for 10+ years. It was familiar, it was safe, and recently, it was replaced. I never really put much thought into fragrance, but I got a sample of CLEAN Rain with a Sephora order, and I immediately loved it. I loved it even more than my beloved Pure Grace, which I thought was impossible. I loved CLEAN Rain, but I wanted to try the other CLEAN fragrances before I committed to one, so I hauled my dupa* over to Sephora and sampled each fragrance made by CLEAN. A few were immediately vetoed. For example, I didn't like how Warm Cotton and Fresh Laundry smelled like I had literally just crawled out of a dryer. I wanted my fragrance to add a little something extra, not just boost what I already did to not stink (wash my clothes). I went home with tiny vials of CLEAN's Skin, Ultimate, and Shower Fresh, in addition to the trial of Rain I already received. I tried each fragrance for a day or two, noticing how each reacted with my body chemistry and how the scent evolved through the day. It quickly became obvious that CLEAN Skin was my new signature scent. It was perfect in every way. *Dupa means ass in Polish. Have I mentioned this before? It was the Polish word I heard most growing up, by far. It's part of my vernacular, so as a reader of this blog it's now part of yours.
As we established in the previous post on Pure Grace, I don't know anything about fragrance, or how to describe it. So here's a description taken from the CLEAN website: This fragrance captures the delicate scent of bare skin. Hints of dewy flower petals wrap around notes of pure creaminess and warm musk to evoke the simple scent of touchable skin. Enticing, fresh, pure. CLEAN skin at its best.
It's that muskiness that drew me to CLEAN Skin in the first place. I like that it's a little more mature and sexier than Pure Grace. After all, I'm not 15 anymore. The other fragrances were ok, but none drew me in as immediately as CLEAN Skin. I'm obsessed with the way it smells, and more particularly the way it smells on me. That's the tricky thing about fragrance, it changes based on the person that's wearing it. So while I'm giving my stamp of approval to CLEAN Skin, I'm really recommending that you check out all the CLEAN fragrances. I love that they're simple but add just a little something extra. If you're like me and aren't a perfume junkie, but you like to smell prettier than you do normally, CLEAN could be the solution for you.
