Keep Your Lenses Clean With These Easy to Use Wipes

I have worn glasses since I was in third grade. I hated wearing glasses for so many years, and usually opted for contacts, but in the past few years I've been wearing them more often. Honestly, I got more into wearing my glasses when my skin cleared up (thanks, Accutane!). I felt like it was double dipping in Things On Your Face to wear glasses while having zits (I've also heard people say this about glasses and braces, so I'm not alone in my weirdness). Anyway, now I have relatively clear skin, you can get stylish glasses for much less money thanks to Warby Parker and the like, and I wear my glasses a lot. This means my glasses need cleaning... a lot.

I used to wash my glasses with a bit of warm water and hand soap when they got dirty (this is how you're meant to wash plastic frames, and it feels SO GOOD when you put them back on), but over the past few years I've need to wear nose pads on my glasses, and those aren't really compliant with putting your glasses under the tap. Enter these genius little lens wipes, which I use for my glasses, and much more.

These particular wipes I bought on Amazon in a big box of 200 for about $15. They're super small and are easy to throw in your purse, your toiletry bag while traveling, or even your pocket. I use them on my glasses, but I also use them on my laptop screen and my iPad on a very regular basis. There's a special kind of annoyance when you take out your laptop and there's a big smudge on the screen - of course, right where it would be the most inconvenient. I've also used them to clean a particularly streaky mirror, wipe down the odd eyeshadow palette, and get a mark off the handle of the refrigerator.

The other nice thing about these single use wipes is that you can share them. I've been caught cleaning my glasses and had someone ask if they could clean theirs as well, and I'll give them a handful of wipes. If you're concerned about the single-use aspect, well then this is not for you. For me, it's much more likely that I'll keep my stuff tidy if it's easy, and even when I'm using these wipes most frequently, it's like one a week. I don't know how I handled being surrounded by smudges for so long without these little wonders. Pick up a box and see for yourself.
