MLBB: The LBD For Your Face

Hey guys, real talk: What's your MLBB shade? Are you familiar with this term, MLBB? I heard it for the first time a few years ago, and once I found out it stood for "My Lips But Better," I knew it was essentially my motto when it came to lip products. I have been hunting down MLBBs for years and I didn't even know I was doing it! A nice tinted balm, or a lipstick that deposits a faint amount of natural looking color is right up my alley. My absolute favorite MLBB for the past few years, though, has been Maybelline Color Whisper in Rose of Attraction.

This lipcolor is a jack of all trades. It's a high-shine balm that deposits juuuust enough color to feel like a lipstick, but not enough that you couldn't feel free to apply it without a mirror on a bumpy car ride. (You know, like when you're on safari and need a lil' touch up.) It's a great gateway lipstick, if you're feeling skittish about becoming a Lippy Lady. Or, now that I think about it, this could be a great option if you're young, and perhaps have to contend with some strict no-makeup code at school. Is that something that really happens? I went to a lawless public school straight out of Deadwood, but I remember in the Georgia Nicolson books she had to find covert ways to wear makeup to school lest she be cruelly punished (AKA sent to wash her face). The point is, this is perfect for achieving that, "Who me? I'm not wearing any makeup! I'm just naturally stunning!" look. Or you know, My Lips But Better.
