God's Favorite Concealer (Probably)

I bought my first ever tube of NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer some time in the spring of this year. Immediately after using it, I realized what all the fuss was about, and why this was a constant recommendation everywhere from Vogue to beauty blogs. I was so impressed with this concealer that I wished I could go back in time and discovered it sooner. Basically, I fell head over heels in love and have been swooning ever since.

I was initially put off by the name. "Creamy" isn't something that an extremely oily skinner person like myself wants in their concealer. But the creamy aspect isn't liquid-y, as I was thinking - it's more a testament to this concealer's blendability. You can place a dot of concealer over a blemish and just by patting it with your finger, it's perfectly blended. If you want, you can use a brush, but clean fingertips work perfectly well. This cannot always be said of dryer concealer formulas. The creamy nature of this product also contributes to its staying power. I haven't found it to settle in any dry patches or crease at all. In addition to all this, despite being blendable and creamy, this concealer provides great coverage, and a little goes a long way. The tube seems like it'll be gone in a hot second, but I've had mine for six months and it's still going strong.

The packaging also makes this a fantastic product. The tube has a doe foot applicator that lends itself to incredibly easy application. You just dab it on any spots that need concealment, blend, set with powder (if you want), and you're ready to go. It's also great for traveling or tossing in your bag for on-the-go touchups, as the tube isn't likely to break or spill without some serious force being applied to it. As long as you're not planning on running it over with a car, I doubt you'll end up with a makeup bag or purse covered in concealer.

This is also one of the very few base makeup products where I do not need the lightest shade possible. I use Vanilla, which is second lightest to Chantilly. The fact that I, one of the palest people I have ever seen, needs the second lightest shade is proof enough to me that there is a shade for literally every person on the planet.
