Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

As I mentioned before, I've started doing regular at-home manicures. It's much more convenient than waiting till my polish is chipped beyond belief before going to the salon to get my nails did. My hands are now presentable almost all the time! The only downside is that I have to set aside 40 minutes every week or so to get the whole deal done. I usually watch Revenge (Pronunciation: Re-Vaaahnge) on my iPad while I manicure myself, so I'm getting two important tasks done at the same time, but it's still annoying to not be able to have my hands tied up for that length of time. Plus, I have a very lovey dog that always wants to be on my lap or under my arm, so when I do my nails I have to go sit somewhere where he can't get to me and mess up my manicure. This place is almost always the most uncomfortable spot in the whole house to sit for an extended period of time.

I used to do my whole manicure procedure (cuticle trimming, nail filing, nail painting, etc) and then have to wait till my polish was at least mostly dry before tackling any other task, or just getting near my dog. It's not like I don't have time to go through this ordeal, it's only 40 minutes total, but it's annoying and boring. Enter Seche Vite. I had read so many rave reviews of Seche Vite top coat, and I didn't pay much attention to them. I mean, how great could it be? Aren't all top coats the same? But I ran out of my regular top coat and decided to give Seche Vite a try. The reviews are not wrong. It is amazing.

Somehow Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat completely dries in like, a minute, and it stays on your nails like nobody's business. My polish lasts so long, now instead of changing polish because it's chipped, I have to change polish just because I'm bored and ready for a change. I took off my last polish job not because my polish had chipped (It had been about 10 days and hadn't chipped once) but because I had these little unpainted tips from my nails growing out. (Ed. I thought about it, and this might not make sense. Do your nails grow from the bottom? So there would be a space at the base of my nail from growth? I don't know. I'm not a fingernail scientist.) Now I can do my nails and be completely finished before Revenge is over, and I don't have to worry about messing up my nails or getting chips later. I've officially joined the Seche Vite top coat cult, and I'm never going back.
