Make Like a Tiger and Check Out This Dr Jart Treatment

Tiger grass is a plant with remarkable healing properties. It’s called tiger grass because tigers, after getting in a scrape and wanting to treat their wounds, will roll around in this grass to speed the healing progress. And you know what they say: If it’s good enough for a wounded tiger, it’s good enough to turn into a prestige beauty treatment.

This brings us to Dr Jart’s line of tiger grass products. Called the Cicapair Collection, the range includes a cream, a serum, some drops, and an SPF color correcting treatment. I sampled the drops in a Sephora, and I was shocked that the green liquid turns a sort of beige shade when rubbed into the skin. I am on the very fair end of the skin tone spectrum, and while the color these green drops transform into is not a shade that would work for me in say, a foundation, it sort of adapts to my skin tone and looks fine. I don’t know if this is true for ALL skin tones, but I’d say it’s certainly worth sampling at Sephora.

I initially bought the Tiger Grass Camo Drops, but then I saw that Sephora was selling a Dr Jart gift set that included a full size Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment along with six smaller versions of other popular Dr Jart products. I returned the Camo Drops and got the gift set instead. The set I got, called Superheroes Skin Transformers, is no longer sold, but you can see what was included here.

The standout though, was the Tiger Grass Treatment. This is a great product to put on when you aren’t interested in a regular base product, or you don’t want to wear makeup but you want to look a little less red and worn down. I tend to put on this treatment in lieu of, say, It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream (review here), but I’ll still apply a tiny bit of concealer on my super red areas, a brow product like Essence Make Me Brow (mentioned here), and mascara.

I have a tendency to get hyperpigmentation after a breakout, and I tend to be a little bit red just.. all over. Dr Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment is a GREAT product to neutralize my blotchiness, and it has the healing properties that tigers love!
