The Clay Mask for Sensitive Widdle Faces

I love a face mask. LOVE IT. I have dabbled in sheet masks, but I prefer a wash-off mask ( this sheet mask is my one exception). I love a clay mask that really reaches into your pores and yanks out all the gunk. This may also be why my preferred time to mask is post-workout. There’s something both mentally and physically cleansing about working out, getting all sweaty, and then doing a mega-cleanse for your complexion. Also, because this is when I wash my hair, I wash off my mask by just sticking my face into the shower stream. So easy! So effective!

I do this workout/mask/shower ritual three days a week, but doing a deep cleaning clay mask three days a week is A LOT. I’ve got resilient skin, and even I think a 3x a week is overkill. But, I love doing it. This is where my decades-long BFF Cetaphil comes in. They make a clay mask for sensitive skin that has all the elements of a clay mask you want, without the harsh stuff you don’t.

Cetaphil Pro Derma Control Purifying Clay Mask is the un-clay mask. It doesn’t dry! Your face will never get that tight, crackly feeling, because this mask stays pliable forever. I’ve even done a really thin layer and waited longer than the recommended 5-10 minutes, just to test if It wouldn’t dry a little. It didn’t. It got maybe a bit less tacky, but it was still nowhere hear your run of the mill clay mask.

It even says on the package that you can use this mask 3x a week, no problem. I usually do one or two time a week, and the other times use a more hardcore mask, but this is a great option if you have more sensitive skin, active breakouts, or just don’t like the feeling of a drying mask.

Plus, at $15, the price is right. For something so effective, from a brand like Cetaphil, who I have trusted with my skin since age 12, this is a steal.
