Get Your Life Together With the BEST Airtight Containers

I love organization. It gives me a sense of control in a world full of chaos. When I moved into this house, I put away everything in my kitchen, then after I’d lived here for awhile I re-organized it, THEN, I really organized it with bins and baskets and containers and now, I finally have peace. I’m very experienced in the realm of organization, and I can safely say that the best organizational thing to happen in my lifetime is the OXO Pop Container.

These containers come in myriad sizes and shapes. The only thing a container needs to be an OXO Pop Containers is a rubber seal around the lid, which you open and close by pressing a button on the top. Some of them have square top buttons and some have circles and I have no idea what this differentiation means.

Why.

I have these ALL OVER my house, but particularly in the kitchen. Anything I can store in one of these containers, I do. I have two for tea bags! Two for dog treats! One for cereal! One for protein bars! There are countless uses and honestly, I may be on my way to storing everything I own in one of these, which I now realize is my dream. They’re clear, so you can see what’s inside (although who doesn’t love a label?), the newest versions are completely dishwasher safe, and the way the seal is mechanized, they won’t wear out or loosen.

These containers are kind of pricy when compared to others, but 1) There a superior product and are therefore worth a higher price, and 2) They’re easy to get at a discount. I bought a set of three OXO Pop Containers at Costco for $17, on sale from $19, and I’ve just learned that in the real world it retails for $40.

OXO Pop Containers are also at Home Good and TJ Maxx with some regularity, but be sure you’re getting the real deal and not some knockoff or subpar product. I once got one at Home Goods in the clearance section for $4, so make it a habit to check your local discount hubs for them whenever you’re there.

Speaking of discount paradise, Costco sells a set of 12 OXO Pop Containers that I’ve had my eye on for sometime. I saw it once on sale for $50 and didn’t purchase, and now that it’s back up to $80 I regret it every day. $80 is already pretty discounted, but I can’t pull the trigger when I know there was a better deal. What would I put in those 12 containers? That’s a fun exercise for Future Me. And yes, finding ways to organize my life IS fun.
