Cheekslime: Not Just a Fun Name, a Great Product Too!

I love blush. LOVE IT. It’s among my favorite types of makeup, and one element that I will always keep in my routine, no matter how barebones it gets.

For years, my go-to has been Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek Cream Blush Stick (reviewed here), but then I saw they had a new blush product - Bionic Liquid Blush - and I knew I had to try it. Could it be even better than my beloved Blush Stick?? I went to my local Sephora, grabbed a tube (I went for the shade Teleport but it was very hard to choose), then walked around a bit and had a little browse. On one of the endcaps I saw ANOTHER liquid blush product, and it made me swap out my Milk Makeup Bionic Liquid Blush, solely because this one was called CHEEKSLIME.

Cheekslime! I MEAN. This liquid blush from Freck Beauty comes in three shades (I went with Jam Sesh) and is light, buildable, and will remind you of 90s Nickelodeon game shows (Slime. It’s becasue of slime).

The color can get intense fast, so I’d recommend starting with a tiny amount. You can always add more. And when I say tiny, I mean TINY. Here’s how much I’d use for my first application, per cheek, on the end of a Q-Tip:

I blend in the blush with a dense kabuki brush, and also apply some on my lips as well. It’s a great, subtle look, that doesn’t leave me looking made up, just more alive. I did buy it for the name, but Cheekslime is actually a great product, particularly if you’re looking for a multi-use, buildable product. (I’ll probably also end up getting the Bionic Liquid Blush too, let’s be real.)
