These Sticky Discs Help My Dog's Laundry Become Hair-Free

When I got my first dog, I knew I wanted one with short hair. I didn’t want to have to to anything extra in terms of grooming, just simple baths as needed, and I wanted to minimize pet hair. No dog is going to be shed-free, but I figured I could do what I could to minimize it, and that’s partially how I ended up with a boston terrier. Bostons are what I call secret shedders - you don’t see hair all over the place, but then you empty the vacuum canister and are SHOCKED at what comes out. Ditto laundry, which is why I got a vacuum attachment for cleaning out the lint trap, and why I purchased a pair of Fur Zappers.

Fur Zappers are these sticky silicone discs that you toss in with your laundry, and they grip onto all the pet hair and funnel it to the drain so it doesn’t end up on your clothes. It’s a gimmicky thing you’d find on an endcap at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, but it does work nicely! I use both Fur Zappers when I wash dog beds and blankets, and it really does help get all that hair off. I think this product would work better for someone with a husky or a golden or some other mega-hairy pet, but it’s still great for a boston terrier’s bedding.

When I first heard about Fur Zappers, they were on sale for like $30. I finally got them because they were $10, and I don’t think you should pay more than that. These aren’t miraculous, but they do help corral pet hair nad help make your laundry feel truly clean.
