Costco Can Help You Wash Your Hair Less - But In a High End, French Way

I like to wash my hair as infrequently as I can, so having a good dry shampoo in my arsenal is vital. My favorite drugstore dry shampoo is Not Your Mother's (review here) because it works so well, and it's inexpensive. (Another great thing about NYM? It comes in an unscented version!) I never want to use a product that is so expensive I feel like I have to use it sparingly, or be precious about it. Sometimes I really need to go to town with my dry shamps, and for $5 a bottle, I feel absolutely a-ok about it.

On the other hand, there are some pricy dry shampoos that don't require a whole lotta spraying to get your hair in a good place, so in a way, I also feel good about their cost-per-use. My favorite high end dry shampoo is Klorane, and I never buy it. That is, until now.

I was browsing Costco's online offerings and I discovered you can buy a two pack of Klorane dry shampoos for $30. Normally one 3.2oz bottle is $20, so that's a decent deal. (You do need to have a Costco membership to order, so if you want to factor that in, be my guest.) I'll even do the math for you. At Sephora, Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk is $6.25 per ounce, at Costco, where you have to buy two at a time, it is $4.69 per ounce. For further reference, you can buy Klorane Dry Shampoo at Sephora in a 1oz bottle - it's $10.

I placed an order and was suddenly met with another nice surprise. My dry shampoo was going to be delivered the next day. I don't know if this is because I live close to a distribution center, or if this is typical for Costco shipments, but I was very impressed. It turned out, in the end, that it took two days, but Costco sent me and email apologizing for the delay. Again, I was shocked.

I'm still using Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo, but I've been alternating with Klorane, and I'm thrilled to have this high end product in my tool kit. The next time you're bummed about out costly beauty products are, or are looking to save a little scratch on your self care, check out Costco! You never know what you'll find.
