Gift Guide 2021: Peloton Rides Again

I already did a Peloton Gift Guide in 2020, but analytics have shown that a lot of people are out there looking for gifts for their Peloton-obsessed loved ones, so I’m bringing it back! You can, of course, reference last year’s Peloton gift guide, or check out all the posts I’ve made about Peloton, but here are even MORE Peloton-related gift ideas.

Clockwise (ish) from top left:

I love my Drip Accessory Spintowel. I have two (both are leopard print and reviewed here) and some little mini-towels for my bike weights (reviewed here). It’s a great way to keep you handlebars clean, your hands dry, and gives your bike a little more personality. Spintowels are available for both the Peloton Bike and Bike+, as well as Schwinn, STAGES, and Soul Cycle indoor bikes.

I’ve also written before about my workout planner board, which has been GREAT to help keep me on track (both for working out, and taking rest days). I cannot tell you how wonderful this Etsy seller was to work with, and how fast she got mockups of the board to me. I got a custom piece, for $20, and it has been SO helpful. This would be a great gift for someone who likes to plan, but also likes things to be aesthetic.

The latest accessory I’ve gotten for my bike is the Comfort Grip Handlebar Extender. If you are petite, or have arthritis, or just want a little extra cushioning on your handlebars, a Comfort Grip may be the solution for you. I wrote a more in-depth review of the Comfort Grip here, but in short: This accessory has made my arthritic hands MUCH more comfortable on the bike.

I will not recommend an expensive thing unless I really, REALLY think it’s worth it. I used Target and Tj Maxx yoga mats for years. Why buy an expensive mat when you can get a perfectly fine cheap one, right? Well, I was wrong. This $100 yoga mat from my problematic fave, Lululemon, is actually WORTH $100. And if you use a workout mat with any regularity, you should save up for this one. I’m 5’8”, and I was used to accidentally stepping off a mat, or rolling to my side and finding I was no longer on the mat, or trying to do planks while sweaty and having to stop and grab a towel for under my hands, but then I also want one under my feet… This mat solves all those problems. Frankly, $100 for a whole ass miracle isn’t really that steep.

A Theragun is a perfect gift for someone who exercises regularly - whether through Peloton or not. Now THIS is one I recommend cheaping out on. I don’t know if an actual Theragun is superior to the knockoffs, but I got my Sharper Image Theragun Knockoff for $100 at Costco and I think it’s better than the $200 Theragun Mini, the cheapest Theragun option. A snob may balk at getting a Not-Theragun-Theragun, but those pure of heart appreciate a value.

While there is a ton of generic Peloton items on Etsy, as well as more Cody themed items than anyone could ever need, there is a distinct LACK of Tunde merch. WHERE. IS. TUNDE? Here’s a Tunde themed sticker, which is nice and I will probably buy myself one, but I also want a Tunde mug, a Tunde hat, a Tunde everything. Maybe once her book comes out people will catch on.
