The Best Nail Buffers. Period.

Every time I get a manicure I wonder, “Why can’t I do my manicures at home like THIS?!!” Because I’m not a nail tech, that’s why. They are magicians. I definitely thought for years that there were no good nail files, only good nail file users, and those people were professionals, so I should just give up. Then I bought a package of Olive & June Nail Buffers and realized maybe, just maybe, there ARE good nail tools out there.

I wrote about these buffers before, here, but I was more impressed with the nail drying drops than the buffers themselves. Now I’ve been using my Olive & June Buffers for over a year and I cannot use anything else now. They’re sturdy but flexible, soft but useful, and have saved me from many a nail disaster.

I started getting dip manicures this year and I am obsessed, I’m never going back. BUT, near the three week mark things start to get dicey. The puppy bites my nail, I try to scratch off some gunk on my kitchen sink, or I otherwise do something to make my dip manicure chip. Fine, whatever, three weeks is an eternity to keep a manicure looking nice, but with dip, that chip is now a crevasse on top of your nail. There are layers and layers of dip powder, now with an exposed edge, and it is sharp. Anytime you finger brushes against something, or you happen to touch two fingers together, or God forbid, you need to wash your hair? It’s an absolute disaster. The only way to life with your nail until you can get it fixed is to buff the shit out of it.

The smaller ones are BENDY!

This is where my beloved Olive & June Nail Buffers Shine. I can buff the sharp craggy edge of a chipped dip manicure in seconds. Yes, it looks busted and I’m desperate to get a new dip manicure ASAP, but I’m at no risk of scratching myself or anyone else with my raggedy manicure. This is why, even though I’m outsourcing my manicures for the foreseeable future, I always have a package of Olive & June Nail Buffers stashed away. They’re indispensable!
