This Nail Grinder Is Now The ONLY Tool I Use On My Dogs' Nails

I’ve written previously about how I am now I big brave girl who does my dogs’ nails at home. Now I have two dogs, with very different nail needs. Ruby’s nails are super long and diamond hard, while Gus’s nails are tiny and short and soft. It is very easy to overtrim/grid Gus’s nails, and I’m slowly trying to shorten the quick of Ruby’s nails so she doesn’t have talons. Somehow, I have found a dog nail tool that works great for both dogs.

I initially bought the Casfuy Dog Nail Grinder becasue it has an LED light built in, and I wanted to be able to see the quick of my dogs’ nails easier. But as I used it more, I found it was quieter, gentler, and easier to handle than the Dremel I used before. All that and it charged easily via USB, whereas my Dremel had a removable battery I had to charge with an included wall charger.

The Casfuy isn’t as fast or tough as the Dremel, but for the dogs I have that’s a good thing. Gus is afraid of everything, and is still adjusting to getting his nails done. Ruby isn’t afraid, but she is blind, and since I’m trying to trim her nails in a specific way to push her quicks back, it’s nice to be able to spend more time on her nails without loud noises or vibrating power tools making her anxious.

This nail grinder comes with a little guard with different “ports” for different sized dogs’ nails. I find this so much more difficult to use than just freestyling, so I threw that bit away. I do, however, appreciate that there’s a little cap for over the bit, so you don’t have to worry about it snagging or scratching anything. I no longer cut my dogs’ nails with clippers, I only use the Casfuy Grinder — it’s just that good.
